Sharing my love of the good things in life – travel & food, so we can all be spritzinguplife in style.

Golden beaches, big waves, and good vibes—welcome to Broadbeach, one of the Gold Coast’s most vibrant coastal hubs. Just an hour’s drive from Brisbane, it’s a perfect weekend escape packed with incredible restaurants, buzzing bars, and a laid-back holiday feel.

Whether you’re into fine dining, casual eats, or beachside cocktails, here’s your go-to guide for where to eat and drink in Broadbeach.

🍜Asian Flavours Mamasan

This relaxed, flavour-packed gem is a must-visit. Sit at the bar to watch the chefs in action and enjoy standout dishes like the market fish green curry and five-spice duck. With big flavours and a fun atmosphere, it ticks all the boxes.

🎉Fun Dining Vibes Maggie Choo

A neon-lit spot that’s as much about the drinks as the food. Maggie Choo delivers a high-energy dining experience with a menu that impresses just as much as the decor.

🍣 Best Japanese Kiyomi

For elevated Japanese cuisine, head inside The Star to Kiyomi. Beautifully plated dishes and fresh sashimi that melts in your mouth make this a standout. Favourites: scallop sashimi, soft shell crab roll, prawn toasts and the fish dip. The vibe is more refined than buzzy, but the food is all delicious.

Top Tip: Use the Entertainment Book for a 25% discount or check out Luxury Escapes deals for dining + stay packages at The Star.

🍽️ Casual Eats Hideaway Kitchen & Bar

Tucked away up on the highway and slightly removed from the main Broadbeach strip, this vibrant and quirky spot might not look like much from the outside—but step inside to discover a character-filled restaurant with a charming courtyard out back. The Asian-inspired bites are full of flavour and affordable. For groups, the $69 set menu is a total win—perfect for sharing and sampling a bit of everything.

🍕 Italian LoversLuna’s

Located on the main Broadbeach drag on Victoria Ave, Luna serves up authentic Italian with a twist. The pizza pockets are a standout, and Andrew loved his Gemelli truffle pasta. The vibe is fresh and modern. It’s a bit pricier, so keep an eye on EatClub for offers—we scored 20% off and two free Aperols!

Note: Sister restaurant Sofia’s – just down the road, is high on the list for next time as a slightly more upmarket option.

🥩Steak Fans – Moo Moo’s

Craving a steak night? Moo Moo’s is your spot. It’s a Broadbeach classic with a stylish setting and premium cuts— perfect for a special occasion or a splurge-worthy night out.

Brunch Spot – Elk Espresso

Located near the beach, Elk Espresso is a local fave serving up top-tier coffee and brunches. It gets busy, so go early or book ahead. Either way—totally worth it.

BARS:

🎶Live Music Den Devine Music Hall

A dive bar in the best way. Live bands, a good drinks selection, and a lively local crowd make this the top pick for live music in Broadbeach. We went on a Thursday and it was full of locals and tourists dancing the night away!

🍹Aperitivo TimeGarden Kitchen & Bar

If you love to partake in aperitivo hour before heading out for dinner, this is the place to come. Garden Bar has a fantastic outdoor area, live jazz on Thursdays and singers on Fridays, and one of the best happy hours around—$15 Four Pillars spritzers, and cheap deals on beers and wines. (every day except Saturday from 5–7pm).

🌊 Ocean Views Kurrawa Surf Club

It might be low-key, but this beachside surf club wins on views alone. Grab a cold beer or a glass of rosé and soak up the oceanfront from the balcony. Casual, cheap, and oh-so-scenic.

🌇 Rooftop GlamNineteen at The Star

High-end drinks with high-rise views. Nineteen is the place to be for a luxe cocktail experience with elevated service and a glam crowd.

🥃 Best for Beers & Whiskies – The Loose Moose

This Canadian-themed bar is a Broadbeach institution. With an extensive beer and whisky list, great food, and live music, it’s always buzzing.

2 other great institutions include Social Eating House & Koi for when you’re feeling like Modern Australian dining.

📍 Still on My Hit List

  • Kost – A new mediterranean restaurant everyone is raving about.
  • Sofia’s – An upmarket Italian hotspot.
  • Fig & Frankie’s – A stylish Tapas and cocktail bar.

🧳 While You’re in the Area…

  • Explore nearby Burleigh for more beaches and dining
  • Chase waterfalls in Mount Tamborine
  • Get your thrills at the Gold Coast theme parks – Movie World, Dream World and Wet n Wild are all nearby

🏨 Where to Stay in Broadbeach

There’s plenty of different options of places to stay in Broadbeach whatever your budget. I’ve stayed at The Star, The Wave and the Meriton which were all good and in great locations. For more upmarket stays I’d recommend The Darling, Peppers Resort or the Sofitel. For new luxe The Langham has recently opened up closer to Surfers Paradise and has great reviews.
